The eighth edition of Myplant & Garden—the International Green Expo—successfully concluded in Milan, Italy, this February.

Myplant & Garden is the most significant professional trade fair in Italy dedicated to horticulture, gardens, landscapes, and sports environment construction. This year, 762 exhibitors from around the globe showcased their latest products over 50,000 square meters of exhibition space. The event attracted 25,000 professional visitors and numerous professional buyers and procurement teams from 45 countries and regions. Compared to the 2023 exhibition, all exhibition-related data have increased at a double-digit rate, a development that exhibition manager Valeria Randazzo is very pleased with.

Among the many purchasing and visiting groups was a Chinese team led by Li Yaru from the Guangdong Qiqiao Gardening Center. The team included representatives from the chain flower shop Guoran Youhua, Dao and Vertical Gardens companies, and the Mofan Flower Art Design Institute. Li Yaru remarked that the exhibition's offerings were comparable to those of the Dutch commercial flower show and the German Essen plant exhibition, noting that three days were insufficient to see everything.

The exhibition also featured a wealth of activities during the event, including three days of floral performances, discussions on ecological transformation and urban regeneration, the connection between green plants and health, the potential of green plants for environmental protection, social welfare, and community health, the necessity of green cities, and industry digital transformation. These were the central themes of the Myplant conference events.

The exhibition was divided into seven sections across four halls: machinery, gardening, materials and garden furniture, sports environments, nursery stocks, potted plants and garden services, cut flowers and floristry, technology, and special exhibition areas. Geographically, local Italian regions such as Lombardy, Veneto, and Tuscany, along with the Netherlands, ranked at the top in terms of exhibition space.

The majority of visitors and buyers were from Europe, including Germany, France, Romania, Poland, Lithuania, Spain, and Switzerland, with Japan having the highest number from Asia and a rapid increase in visitors from the Middle East. The visitors and buyers included various plant producers and decision-makers in major purchasing chains (garden centers, home, garden, e-commerce), as well as city public administration departments and hotel facilities, real estate developers, and more.

The next Myplant & Garden exhibition is scheduled to take place from February 19 to 21, 2025.
